Filigree Jewelry
Filigree is ornamental work of fine (typically gold or silver) wire formed into delicate tracery.
It is a very ancient construction method of silver ornaments and known around the world. Filigree can sometimes be referred to as "Filagran" or "Filigrana". The word is from Latin: Filum = thread and granum = grain. It means literally what is called in Icelandic grain set wire work, provided it is made of a thin wire and decorated with small silver balls.
